Maude Léonard-Contant, Kunstmuseum Luzern

Philippe Karrer Studio was commissioned by the artist Maude Léonard-Contant to design the three-dimensional layout of her artwork ‘No Edit Can Fail Tint’. For her cabinet exhibition, Maude Léonard-Contant shaped nine tons of reddish-brown cast sand into a poetic linguistic landscape. Haiku-like poems written by the artist and pressed into the sand as negative forms, water repelled by the oily surface, and empty ceramic vessels complete the ensemble and alter the topography.
